Ann Coulter coming out of her shell

Ann Coulter in her book says that the widows of those that died in the 9/11 attacks are "reveling in their status as celebrities and stalked by grief-arazzis."

Well it's about time someone called out the truth. And I'm glad that Ann Coulter finally stood up to these so-called victims.

In the spirit of her statements, here are some other issues I wish people would address.

  • Puppies. Yeah, yeah - they're cute and cuddly. So what? I'm so tired of the left wing conspiracy promoting cute and cuddly. Some of us don't want that.
  • Katrina victims. We get it - you have no place to live. Your loved ones are lost and maybe dead. Maybe you shouldn't have elected Democratic leaders. They lied to you. You can't trust them. Put your trust in the Republican party.

  • Murder in America. Hey, if you don't have the common sense to get out of the way of a bullet, then I have two words for you - natural selection.
  • Cancer victims. Don't get me started.
  • Sufferers of hate crimes. These get too much publicity by the democratic devils in the media. If people had the good sense to be born white then there wouldn't be any problems.

In general I am so tired of victims. All their bitching about dying and such is so 1983.

Several good points there, well presented.

You won't want to miss this indispensable Ann Coulter accessory, here

She's clearly insane. She even goes completely off the rails on the more "sympathetic" FOX News. And I'm not sure where all of the misinformed anger and hatred is coming from. Maybe a sandwich would help improve her outlook?

She's a "bush-league" shock jock passing herself off as some controversial genius. As much as I abhor what she says though, it's important to hear her hate speech. It reminds us what's out there in the world and how important it is to keep fighting ignorance. So unfortunate that this stupid witch makes money off it.

But she's a short-priced favourite for the Kentucky Derby, so she's not all bad.

I am just realizing after reading a few of her quotes is that Coulter is really no different from Pat Robertson. They are both exhibit the same amount of irrationality and insanity.

What I wish is that there were more people on the left that enraged the right the way the conservative pundits enrage the left. Right now all we have is Michael Moore and Al Franken. We need more than that.

Kristen nailed it with "bush-league shock-jock".

But what insults (and simultaneously entertains) me even more is that the forces of the far right seem to have misguidedly hired her as some kind of "secret weapon", as if all the left-leaning males(hetero males being all that would matter to the far right folks, anyway) are going to be hypnotized by seeing a relatively-attractive youngish well-dressed woman, so will somehow buy into her completely ludicrous rhetoric? It always strikes me that that's how she's being "spun".

She was on the "Today" show Thursday morning attempting to defend her nutty views to Matt Lauer. (We have a number of tv monitors at work with the sound turned down.) As I walked by her image a few times, I noticed that as she sat there yelling, she was brushing back windblown sparkly-clean hair and wearing a tiny "little black dress", neither of which could mask her aura of very-unattractive hatred, by the way, even without sound.

When I very momentarily turned up the sound, she sounded exactly like (speaking of bush-league shock-jocks) Rush Limbaugh shouting down any challenger by spewing endless streams of vitriol. (Turned the sound back off really fast; tried not to look too long at the closed-captioning.)

I started to think about how calculated, yet off-base, their positoning of her as their "mouthpiece" is. Do they really think we're that impressionable and dumb?

I'm not above some shallowness, though. Later in the Today show, at a moment I happened to have the sound up, Kathy Griffin was being interviewed. Completely unprovoked, she broke into some nonsequitor along the lines of "What the hell is wrong with Anne Coulter? Who wears a cocktail dress at 7 AM?" Petty and kind of silly, but it made me laugh anyway. Ms. Coulter, on the other hand, just makes me recoil and cringe.

Oh man - I wish I'd seen Kathy Griffin dissing Ann's dress. That's beautiful. I imagine that as one of those great Today Show moments when you can hear the crew laughing in the background. Heh heh heh.

What's worse than Ann Coulter? The throngs of Americans who just nod and mindlessly agree with her. Sad, sad, sad.

Just saw Kathy Griffin diss Ann Coulter, courtesy of YouTube. Excellent.
